I stayed the night at the hospital and we had a good night. Evan slept through most of the night with the exception of getting his medicine and nighttime feeds. I sure hope we can go back to sleeping through the night when we get home! He had a little case of the beep beeps this morning. That is what I call the monitor when it beeps. His saturation levels was dipping down to 83 his minimum is set at 85. His saturation a levels rebound right away on their own so there was no need for the nurse to even come into the room but it didn’t stop the beep beeps! This is common when he goes to sleep which is why his doctor said for us not to be discouraged if he has to come home on a little bit of oxygen. It is mainly just for the stimulation as opposed to his need for oxygen. He doesn’t necessarily love his nose cannula but I am sure he can overlook that small fact in order to be home and it is only temporary.
We woke up at 5:30am for a trip to the x-Ray machine. We had to wake Evan up but he enjoyed the ride – in the stroller. What a big boy! Now, we are going to get a bottle and hopefully another hour of sleep!
Please ignore the color of the stroller but I couldn’t resist taking a picture. The nurse apologized but it was the only one they had. He charmed all of the nurses at the nurses station on the way down. It was love at first sight for all of them.
